New Hanover County Schools Open House schedule for the 2013-2014 school year is as follows:
All traditional elementary school open houses will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013, during each school’s designated time.
The following elementary schools will hold their Open House from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.:
Alderman, Anderson, Bellamy, Blair, Bradley Creek, Carolina Beach, Castle Hayne, College Park, Forest Hills, Freeman, Gregory, Holly Tree, Murrayville, Pine Valley, Snipes, Mary C. Williams, Winter Park and Wrightsboro
Ogden and Parsley elementary schools’ open house will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wrightsville Beach Elementary School will follow the schedule below:
- Last names (A – M): 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Last names (N – Z): 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Lake Forest Academy will hold open house for K – 8 students on Thursday, August 22, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
All traditional middle school open houses will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, during each school’s designated time.
The following schools will host their open house from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.:
- DC Virgo,
- Holly Shelter,
- Murray,
- Roland-Grise and
- Williston
Myrtle Grove Middle will follow this schedule:
6th Grade
- Last names (A-L): 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.,
- Last names (M-Z): 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
7th and 8th Grades - 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Noble Middle School will follow this schedule:
Information session for new students: 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Open House: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Trask Middle School will follow this schedule:
7th and 8th Grades: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
6th Grade: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Traditional high schools will host Open House on Tuesday, August 20 during each school’s designated time.
Orientation dates for 9th Grade students are also listed below:
Ashley High School
10th through 12th Grades only - 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
9th Grade – Freshman Orientation will be Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Hoggard High School - 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Laney High School - 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
New Hanover High School - 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Mosley Performance Learning - 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Early College High Schools
Isaac Bear Early College High School will hold their 9th Grade orientation on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. IBECHS will start the 2013-2014 school year on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.
