Potato Head Spiderman
Mr. Potato Head was introduced in 1952. The first set, according to mrpotatohead.net, was a package of silly vegetable faces that could be attached to any fruits or vegetables to make a funny-faced man. The pieces allowed for children to be creative and "play with their food". The popularity of the Potato Head Funny Face Kit grew with the emerging television industry as it was the first toy to be advertised on TV.
In 1964, Hasbro (makers of Mr. Potato Head) began to include the brown plastic potato head in the package with the funny face pieces. Since then, changes and additions to this classic toy have been numerous including the addition of Mrs. Potato Head and Potato Head Kids. Mr. Potato head has also had the opportunity to morph into a variety of characters including super heroes.
