Girl Scouts
GS Cookies
Beginning January 18, about 1000 Girl Scouts in New Hanover County will begin selling cookies. The troops in New Hanover County ordered over 7000 cases and will be picking them up throughout the day on the 18th. Walkabout sales (in which girls will go door to door with cookies in select neighborhoods) will kick off the cookie sales. The following weekend, cookie booths will be set up throughout the county at various locations such as storefronts. Booth sales will continue until Sunday, March 2.
All traditional boxes of cookies are $3.50 each and include the following:
- Shortbread
- Thin Mints
- Peanut Butter Patties
- Peanut Sandwich
- Caramel Delights
- Lemonades
- Thanks-A-Lot
- Cranberry Citrus Crisp (new flavor this year)
In addition to traditional boxes, Girl Scouts in New Hanover County will be selling a new gluten-free chocolate chip cookies. These cookies are bite-sized and made with rice flour and real butter in a special gluten-free bakery. Bags of this "special edition" cookies are $5.
