Wilmington, NC (Grassroots Newswire) – Decorating a school locker is an increasingly important means of self-expression for today’s pre-teen population. So much so that many school systems have introduced a “Locker Day,” specifically for the purpose. In recent years retailers have responded with a wide selection of organizational items, but nothing decorative that appeals to the trend-conscious tween. Now, with the help of two Texas moms, the Learning Express toy store in Wilmington has the answer. Local owners Ed and Shelley Hobson are introducing a brand new line of products called “Locker Lookz,” which have been an instant hallway hit in test markets across the country.
“Locker Lookz are going to be the hottest back-to-school product we carry this year,” said Learning Express owner Shelley Hobson. “It’s a product designed by moms and inspired by daughters. When it came time for their daughters to decorate their first lockers, Christi and JoAnn, the creators of Locker Lookz, realized that there was a need for a ready-made locker design system with coordinated items that were easy to install. It’s truly ingenious, and I can’t wait to introduce my customers to the concept.”
The Locker Lookz line includes a selection of accessories and wallpaper patterns. The wallpaper is pre-cut to fit most standard size school lockers, adjusts for smaller sizes, and includes strong magnets for adhesive-free attaching. The accessory assortment includes magnetic mirrors, locker storage bin sets, battery-powered lamps and chandeliers, white boards and markers, shaggy rugs, and jeweled flowers—all in trendy colors and designs.
Customers are invited to enter to win a complete Locker Lookz locker makeover kit in a random drawing on July 30, 2011. The winner will be able to choose her own locker look.
