Original Sprout, which was founded in 2007, makes a line of skin and hair care products that are free of natural and synthetic hormone disrupters such as soy, yam, tea tree, lavender, parabens, titanium dioxide, formaldehyde. The products are also free of fragrances that contain ingredients linked to cancer concerns such as phthalates, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, styrene toluene, chlorobenzene, glycol ethers & musk. Instead, the pleasantly scented products are created using fragrances & essential oils that are approved by California's Safe Cosmetics Program & the European Cosmetics Directive.
The company is against animal testing. All products are vegan, and lanolin, used in the Baby Hair Balm, is derived from wool so the sheep are not harmed.
