Snowmen are such a fun winter theme. However, in our area, we rarely get a chance to make them due to our climate. Here's a cute recipe for a mini snowman that is completely edible.
Ingredients:
- vanilla ice cream
- jumbo marshmallows
- mini-chocolate candies or chocolate chips
- candy canes
- wafer-type cookie
- candy corn
- bite-sized chocolate candy
Directions
- Start with one scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl.
- Create a face by using a toothpick to carve out small holes in a jumbo marshmallow in which to stick the mini chocolate candies into for the eyes and candy corn for the nose.
- Place the decorated marshmallow on top of the scoop of ice cream.
- Use a few mini-chocolate pieces to act as buttons on the snowman's ice cream body.
- Add the wafer-type cookie to the top of the marshmallow and then place a bite-sized chocolate candy on top to create a hat.
- Finally, break the curved portion off a candy cane and snap the remaining portion into two equal parts. Stick these into the scoop of ice cream for the snowman's arms.
Kids will not only enjoy making this snowman, but will also love to eat it!
