Family Restaurant Review: Red Robin
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers
Red Robin Interior
Voted by Wilmington Parent readers to be Wilmington’s Favorite Family Restaurant, Red Robin’s winning combination of friendly staff and yummy food make it an excellent choice for a meal out.
Ushered in by friendly hostesses, children are immediately captivated by an unexpected television sunken into the floor showing cartoons. The restaurant décor is Americana with bits of our history scattered upon the walls accompanied by colorful lighting and seating throughout. Patio seating is also available. Restrooms are well lit and include a changing table. Young children are accommodated with a high chair or booster seat and given crayons and a menu to color upon being seated. Wait staff is prompt and friendly and make a point to speak to any children in the dining party.
The adult menu consists of many gourmet burgers (Red Robin’s signature dish), sandwiches, salads and other larger entrees. All burgers and sandwiches come with “Bottomless Steak Fries” meaning your French fries can be refilled as many times as you like. The same applies to tea and fountain drinks. Adult meals range in price from $5.99 to $13.99 and the portions are quite generous. For the kids there are 9 different choices of entrée ranging in price from $3.99 to $4.99. Children also get to choose from 7 different side items which range from fruits and vegetables to the signature steak fries. To top off your meal, Red Robin offers an assortment of desserts including classic milkshakes and malts.
Red Robin rewards loyal customers by offering a free Red Royalty Card to guests. Once registered online, the card allows customers one free appetizer, a gourmet burger during their birth month (children signed up under their parents name also get a free birthday burger) and buy 9 items and get the 10th free. This card is a must-have for those who visit the restaurant often!
The atmosphere in Red Robin is quite lively. As families dine, they can watch their favorite sports on the many televisions hung throughout the dining room. There are also a few video games located at the front of the restaurant to provide more entertainment for kids and adults alike. For those celebrating birthdays, the staff sings a lively song and presents the guest with an ice cream sundae. Upon leaving the restaurant, children are given a colorful balloon as their “parting gift”.
Red Robin is open daily for lunch and dinner. Sunday through Thursday hours are 11AM-10PM and Friday and Saturday hours are 11AM-11PM.
Families looking for exceptional service and quality food in a fun atmosphere will enjoy Red Robin.
