green bean casserole
Green bean casserole made with cream of mushroom soup and topped with French fried onions has always been a traditional Thanksgiving dish in my house. However, one year when my older brother came to enjoy the holiday with us, he made a different version of green bean casserole which I immediately fell in love with. In my opinion, anything with artichoke hearts and cheese in it is a perfect dish! Here is the recipe we use in my family for this casserole.
Green Bean and Artichoke Casserole - Ingredients
- 2 cans (16 ounce) of French style green beans
- 2 cans (14 ounce) of artichoke hearts
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Remove artichokes from can and mince.
- In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Coat a casserole dish with cooking spray and transfer all the ingredients into it.
- Cover and bake for 25 minutes.
