strawberry picking 2
April marks the start of the highly anticipated, albeit brief, strawberry picking season here in Wilmington and our surrounding areas. We are very fortunate to have several local pick-your-own strawberry farms so close by, and now is the perfect time to take your family to visit one if you have not done so already. Not only are the berries ripe and ready for picking, but the farms below all also offer delicious ice cream and pre-picked berries as well if you don’t have time to explore the fields yourself. Just don’t wait too long or the strawberries will be all gone!

Frozen Yogurt-Covered Strawberries - Wash and dry your strawberries and cut off the green tips. Dip each berry in vanilla yogurt (Greek yogurt is the best choice due to its thickness), and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper. Then simply freeze and enjoy!
