TheatreNOW, downtown Wilmington’s newest entertainment venue, will commemorate its official opening with a ribbon cutting at noon on Friday, July 27th. Wilmington Downtown Inc. (WDI) will host the event. The public is invited to join Mayor Bill Saffo in celebrating the addition of this new theatre to the area.
TheatreNOW is the Cape Fear Region’s first dedicated dinner theatre arts complex, featuring weekend productions, children's programming, a Sunday Jazz/Gospel Brunch and movie events. The brainchild of local thespian Alisa Harris, TheatreNOW features the talents of local writers and actors to present a variety of productions that are expected to attract both local resident and visitors to the area throughout the year.
Friday’s ribbon cutting will take place in front of the TheatreNOW building at 19 S. 10th Street in Wilmington.
