ZUMBA® “Fitness Party” is the kick-off to the latest addition to the Cameron Art Museum’s line up of Healthy Living Classes, July 30, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This “party” is an introduction to the fitness movement class, ZUMBA® and licensed instructor Wendy Joyner. There will be a raffle for ZUMBA® wear, ZUMBA® accessories, ZUMBA® music, free class passes and 1 individual museum membership. Cost for the “Fitness Party” is $2 for museum members and $5 for non-members.
ZUMBA® is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance “fitness-party.” Since its inception in 2001, the ZUMBA® program has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most successful dance-fitness programs with more than 12 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages. Participant fitness is the goal of this energetic movement class and all levels of experience are invited to attend. It is easy to do and has proven effective.
Ongoing ZUMBA® fitness classes will begin August 22nd at Cameron Art Museum and continue every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is not necessary. The walk-in price for each class is $10 per person and $8 for museum members. Cameron Art Museum members also receive a 10% discount on packages. Discounted ZUMBA® class packages are as follows: 4 classes for $32, 8 classes for $52 and 10 classes for $64.
Additional Healthy Living Classes held at the Cameron Art Museum are Tai Chi, a slow, meditative form of exercise designed for relaxation, balance and health taught by Martha Gregory and meets on Wednesday’s starting at 12 noon. Yoga is a form of exercise with a focus on relaxation, breath control and meditation that is held each Thursday at 12 noon at the museum. Each of these Healthy Living Classes cost members $5.00 and non-members $10.00.
