Firemans Walk 1
The Wilmington Family YMCA is hosting a “Fireman’s Walk” on Saturday, February 28, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the YMCA track and fields located behind the Y building at 2710 Market Street. The walk will honor the Wilmington Fire Department, New Hanover Fire Rescue, Wilmington Police Department, and New Hanover EMS for their response to the YMCA’s devastating fire on February 8th.
This family-fun event will include a Zumba party, bounce house, soccer games, family-friendly obstacle course, face-painting, food and drinks, music, and community fellowship. The event is free to all Y members, staff and the community who have come together to support the Y after the fire.
All proceeds will benefit the Y Strong campaign; a fire relief fund for the Wilmington Family YMCA. Everyone who donates $25 or more will receive a Y Strong t-shirt for their support!
Donations may be made online through the Wilmington Family YMCA website at www.wilmingtonfamilyymca.org/donate. Anyone who wishes to make a donation by check may do so by making the check payable to Wilmington Family YMCA and mailing it to 2710 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.
