NC Aquarium Fort Fisher
NC Aquarium Holiday
Santa fishes for wishes at the N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher and you’re invited to join him for fun and dinner. Santa’s SEAcret Supper features a magical holiday experience from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.
SEAcret Supper guests enjoy a SEAcret Scavenger hunt, holiday crafts, cookie-decorating, touch-tank fun, and, of course, dinner with Santa. The jolly ol’ elf will collect holiday wish lists from all the good girls and boys, too. Santa may even surprise everyone with a dive in the Cape Fear Shoals alongside sharks, rays and his other aquatic friends.
The Aquarium will also collect non-perishable food items at this event to donate to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Reservations are required and will be taken until Dec. 3. Tickets are $16 per person; children 2 and younger are free. Children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.
Additionally, parents can give their little elves a holiday break at the Aquarium’s Elf Camps Saturdays, Dec. 1, 8, and 15 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Holiday Elf Camp offers children ages 5 to 12 years old the opportunity to become Santa’s little helpers and learn, too. Campers make gifts, wrap them, meet other elves and create memories at the Aquarium. Each day features a different animal theme.
Children may register for one, two or three days of camp. The program fee of $50 per day includes Aquarium admission, pizza lunch, snacks, crafts, holiday gift-wrap and instruction. Register early to get the date you want. Pre-registration is required.
This year the Aquarium also offers limited transportation from the Monkey Junction area to and from camps. An additional fee and pre-registration is required for this service.
The Aquarium will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen at 9 AM on December 26, 2012.
