Junior League of Wilmington
Touch A Truck
The Junior League of Wilmington hosts the 5th annual Touch-A-Truck Fundraiser on Sunday, April 6th from 12:30pm-4:30pm at Mayfaire Town Center.
Touch-A-Truck (TAT for short) is a hands on fundraiser that allows children the opportunity to see, touch & explore cool trucks and heavy machinery, and meet the people who build, protect and serve the Wilmington community. The league welcomed over 2,300 families last year as they explored over 27 trucks and 2 helicopters. The New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Vitalink/Airlink helicopter will fly in and land on the event field during the event! Kids are able to sit in the pilot seat and run through an emergency protocol.
NHRMC will also provide CPR training for adults and children. Family favorites will be in attendance, including Mr. Mark, Elmo, Sammy the Seahawk and possibly the Easter Bunny.
There is an entry fee to this public event: $5/person or $15/family of four. All proceeds benefit the Junior League’s community projects, that focus on eliminating barriers to education. Funds raised at JLW events allow us to continue to provide: Kids in the Kitchen, Mentoring, Leaguers for Lions, Backpack Buddies, Yam Jam and Saturday Service.

Dr. Halley White Pediatric Dentistry is a proud sponsor of the Touch A Truck Event, Sunday April 5th from 12:30 – 4:30 at the Mayfaire Event Field. This is a great event for children of all ages as they will be able to explore vehicles like fire engines, cement trucks, school buses, bull dozers and more. We will be there with lots of giveaways and some exciting things to do. We have it on good authority that the Tooth Fairy will be making an appearance. Please stop by our Sponsor Booth and see us.
