“Juliette Gordon Low was a revolutionary, strong-willed and innovative woman who did not stand for complacency, “ Debbie Todd, Membership Specialist for Wilmington/New Hanover and Pender Counties, said. “I think she would be honored with the creative way New Hanover County Girl Scouts are celebrating her life this year. Low was a true Survivor and faced every challenge with excitement.”
Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts 100 years ago in Savannah, GA, and her birthday has become a holiday for Girl Scouts around the world. The mission of the Girls Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
