CFM-Whodunit
Once again, Cape Fear Museum of History and Science needs help cracking a mysterious case of “whodunit?”
Families are asked to put on their detective hats and solve an all new Mystery at the Museum Saturday, January 21 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (last ticket sold at 2:30).
Something mysterious has happened at the Museum—a gardener made a shocking discovery in the Museum’s courtyard while planting a tree. What could these shimmering objects be? It is Native American currency or a colonial merchant’s income? Perhaps it’s Pirate booty!
While on the scene, participants will scour the Museum for evidence, hear local history mysteries, and practice their observation skills. Museum detectives will work in forensic labs to analyze fibers, identify unknown substances, and use chemistry to reveal secret writing. After their investigation, sleuths can report their findings to a news team from WWAY.
Investigate the scene then analyze your evidence. Be on the lookout for red herrings and hidden evidence. Experience our exhibits as they come to life to uncover the secrets of our region’s past. Forensic science, technology, and your imagination will help you solve the latest Mystery at the Museum.
Mystery at the Museum is fun for all ages. Parental participation is required. The program is $3 for Museum members, $6 per non-member, which includes Museum admission. For more information, call 910.798.4362.
