coupon exchange
Many people are clipping coupons to maximize savings. Coupon clippers can work together to increase their savings. There are several ways to ban together with fellow clippers so that everyone can get the most out of coupons. Here are a few ideas:
- Get a coupon buddy. My Mom always gives me her coupon inserts when she is finished clipping what she needs. She and I use different products so there are many times that I still get coupons out of her used inserts. Since I have begun to purchase a Sunday newspaper, I have decided to give my clipped inserts to my Mom since there may be some coupons in my inserts that she uses. This can be done between friends or family!
- Organize a monthly coupon swap. Get together with your friends to swap coupons once a month. Bring your partially clipped newspaper insert, store coupons you don't plan to use or magazines with coupons that you won't use and have your friends do the same. Ask everyone to bring their scissors and pass around the coupons. Everyone will certainly come away from the swap with coupons they can use!
- Create a workplace coupon exchange. Place a basket/bin for coupons in the break room of your workplace (after getting the OK from your boss, of course). Let everyone know that they can bring in coupons they are not going to use and place them in the basket. In addition to grocery coupons, also include coupons for restaurants, services, etc. (Attractions coupons work well). Then, as people have breaks during the day they can look through the basket and take coupons that they want to use.
