Summer Hair Care

Summer can be hard on hair. Between the sand and sun at the beach and the chlorine in the pool, hair can become unhealthy. There are many products on the market that claim to rehabilitate summer hair but some of those contain undesirable ingredients.

I was happy to discover that Fairy Tales (the same company that makes fantastic lice prevention products) carries a line of sun and swim hair care products. These are formulated to remove sea salt and chlorine using natural fruit extracts. The line includes Lifeguard Clarifying Shampoo, Lemon-Aid Conditioner and CoCo Cabana Spray.

The shampoo contains aloe and jojoba to restore moisture and de-tangle hair. It is also safe for color treated hair so moms can use it as well as kids. The conditioner is loaded with fruit extracts and vitamins and it smells wonderful. After using the combination of the two products on my daughter and myself, we had soft, silky and manageable hair.

Coco Cabana Spray is a must-have for any beach bag. You simply spray it in your hair to create a barrier of protection against the sun and water. The banana leaf and coconut extracts give the spray a lovely tropical smell.
