Pay by Phone is a convenient way to pay for parking. A call can be placed to the phone number on the meter being used to pay with a credit card. In addition, there is free app that allows you to pay for parking, get e-mailed receipts and get reminders about when to add more money to the meter.
The app is easy to use once it is downloaded on your phone. When parking at a meter, simply pull up the app, enter your location, vehicle and duration of time which you intend to stay. A secure payment can be made with any credit card. The app will send you a text message reminder when time is close to expiring. Instead of running back to the car to add more coins to the meter, you can simply extend your time by adding more money via the Pay by Phone app.
The Pay by Phone app is available for all iPhones, Androids and Blackberrys. Locally, the app can be used in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach.
