Stride Rite
Stride Rite is a brand name that is synonymous with quality children's shoes. My 5 year old daughter has had a few pairs of Stride Rite shoes and I have always been happy with the quality of the brand. When I learned about the Made 2 Play styles, I was very interested in having my daughter try them out.
Made 2 Play shoes are different from many other kids shoes in that they are made for a variety of terrains and also designed to be washed. Since kids shoes tend to get dirty so quickly, being washable is a superb feature. Therefore, I was more than happy to try them out on my daughter.10405650_788926211148095_7099517767884912802_n.jpg
The pair of Made 2 Play shoes that we got was the Mary Jane style. My first impression of the shoes were that they were so cute, my daughter could wear them with shorts or little sun dresses. It is nice to have a pair of shoes with this much versatility, especially in the spring and summer when my daughter likes to play outside in sundresses. Also, the shoes are very well made from sturdy soles to comfortable Velcro closures.
My daughter has worn the shoes to the pool, playground, in the backyard, on a hike, to camp and out shopping. Sometimes she wears them with socks and sometimes without and she LOVES them. I asked her if they were comfortable and she said they were "so comfy and cushiony ".
After a hike through the woods one day, I decided to test the shoes in the washing machine. I was almost afraid to wash them not knowing if they would come out of the machine the same as they went in. I have had some negative experiences with other brands of shoes that claim to be washable. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the Made 2 Play shoes came out of the washing machine almost the same as they went in. The only notable difference was that the color from the body of the shoe faded slightly onto the white soles. Other than that, the shoes came out very nicely and dried quickly in the sun.
I am very impressed with Stride Rite's Made 2 Play shoes and would definitely recommend them to other parents with busy children! In addition to the cute Mary Jane style shoes, they also come in sandals and sneakers.
