Paper towels are used daily by many families. My family switched to cloth napkins during mealtimes several years ago and have significantly cut down on paper towel usage. However, we still use paper towels for other things such as cleaning, drying produce and absorbing spills.
Being an environmentally conscious family we are always searching for ways to continue to reduce our waste so I was excited to learn about Bambooee sheets. These are reusable bamboo towels that come on a roll just like paper towels.There are 20 perforated sheets per roll. Unlike paper towels, Bambooee sheets are reusable. They can be washed and reused at least 25 times.
I was happy to test out the Bambooee towels and found them to be absorbent, strong and soft. Each towel is an ample size at 11.5 x 11 inches. I was most curious about what would happen when I washed the towel so I washed it along with a regular load of clothes. Upon removing the Bambooee from the washing machine, I found it still retained its shape and strength. My 4 year old daughter found the towel on the kitchen counter and asked me what it was. I told her it was a paper towel and she said "no it's not Mommy because I can't rip it." This is a true testament to the strength of this product.
I would certainly recommend this product to others. According to the company, one roll of Bambooee sheets will replace 60 paper towel rolls. So, not only is it better for the environment, it is a money saver.
