Napkin-Rings-PNG
Most children enjoy arts and crafts and also like to help in holiday preparations. Creating napkin rings to add to the dinner table during holiday meals is a simple yet fun way for kids to feel that they have contributed. My six year old daughter was very excited to complete this project. I was glad to come up with a project that didn't require a lot of expensive supplies. We actually had most of the items in the house. Here are the directions to create your own holiday napkin rings.
Materials
- empty toilet paper rolls
- acrylic paint and paintbrushes
- ribbon
- hot glue
- 3-D stickers (available in craft stores) or other small accessories
Procedure
- Remove any toilet paper remaining on the toilet paper rolls. Each roll will make 3 napkin rings.
- Cut the toilet paper rolls into 1.5 inch sections.
- Paint the rolls with acrylic paint. I used 2 coats.
- Cut the ribbon into lengths that will wrap around the tubes.
- Use hot glue to attach ribbons to the center around the tubes.
- Attach 3-D stickers or other small accesories
This project only took about 2 hours including drying time for the paint.
