OK to Wake Clock
From the time my daughter was old enough to get out of bed, my husband and I have been getting an early wake up call every morning including weekends. Therefore, I was thrilled to learn about a clock that teaches children when it is OK to get out of bed.
The OK to Wake! Clock by American Innovative, combines a teaching clock with a nightlight to help children learn when it is time to get out of bed in the morning. Parents program the clock to the desired wake-up time and at this time the clock will glow green. A soft yellow glow acts as a nightlight when it is time to sleep. So, when children wake up in the morning, if the clock glows green they know it is time to get out of bed. Children learn through repeated exposure and seeing the wake up time daily will help them learn to recognize the time they wake up.
The clock also has other unique features including a programmable nap timer. When nap time is over, a tone sounds or the OK to Wake light comes on or both features can be selected. An alarm can also be set for morning wake-up if you have a late sleeper or if your little one needs to get up for school. The gradual-wake feature has a tone that begins softly and ascends slowly to full volume. Fun animations, such as a happy face, accompany the wake-up tone. A button on the foot allows older kids to snooze for 10 minutes.
In addition to all of the fun features the OK to Wake! Clock comes with 2 interchangeable faces, a green bug and a pink flower. The clock is powered by four AA-type batteries and runs for approximately 3 months under normal operating conditions.
