abc-cookies
Cookie making is a great opportunity to teach children measurement and cooking skills. It can also be a great way to introduce or review letters of the alphabet and practice spelling when you use alphabet cookie cutters.
Alphabet cookie cutters can be purchased online at Amazon or may be found locally at retail department stores.
Once you have obtained your alphabet cookie cutters, you will need a delicious cookie recipe. The following is a recipe adapted from Allrecipes.com and other recipe websites.

- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
