With the day-time temperatures slowly but gradually dropping and the evenings growing cooler, it means it's that time again to start picking some pumpkins! While you can easily find a stock of pumpkins at several grocery stores in the area, many families will choose a trip to the local pumpkin patch. The Greater Wilmington area has a variety of locations where families can go and choose just the right pumpkin for carving, decorating, and cooking this season. Here are several local patches as well as a few within a short drive out to the country.

🎃 The Pumpkin Patch Hampstead United Methodist Church
Over 3,000 pumpkins harvested directly from the fields of the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.

Range of fall activities including picking pumpkins and exploring corn maze.
🎃 Mike’s Farm 1600 Haw Branch Rd, Beulaville, NC
Take a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch, where families can walk through the fields and select the perfect pumpkin to bring home. Hayrides run Tuesday & Wednesday from 1:00-5:00, Thursday & Friday from 1:00-8:00, and Saturday from 10:00-8:00. The cost is $2.00 per person for ages 3 and older.
