Luna Star makeup

Young girls enjoy watching their Mom put on makeup and often want to wear some themselves. I know from personal experience that my 3 year old daughter is very interested in makeup and asks if she can have some every time I put some on. I always oblige by sweeping the blusher brush (without blush) across her cheeks and letting her put on some of my all-natural lip balm. However, I know there will come a time, probably sooner than later, that she wants to play with her own makeup. Therefore, I have done a bit of research into the products available for young girls.

A quick search of the internet found that there are many options for children’s makeup kits, but I am a picky mother and not interested in just any old makeup. I was determined to find an all-natural makeup kit that matched my own makeup philosophy of not putting potentially harmful chemicals on my skin. My search led me to a company called Luna Star founded by the mother of 2 girls. Allison Reedy was determined to create a line of high-quality organic makeup that could be used by young girls for play up to tweens who are really starting to use makeup on a daily basis.

Luna Stars line of makeup contain natural ingredients that are BPA and paraben-free, contain no artificial coloring, are hypo-allergenic and are not tested on animals. The mineral makeup kits come in a variety of color combinations to fit your child’s personality. They are easy to apply with the included applicators. The mineral makeup is also easy to remove with a bit of soap and water.

Standard makeup kits include 2 eyeshadow colors, one blush and one shimmer lip balm. The standard kits come in six different color combinations and retail for around $20 each. Deluxe kits come in two different color combinations. Each kit includes 2 eyeshadow colors, 2 shimmer lip balms, one blush and 2 water-based, peel-off nail polishes and retail for around $27 each.

I am glad to know that Luna Stars is available and I will feel much better about my young daughter playing with a makeup kit knowing that it is all-natural!

Luna Star products can be purchased at Amazon.com or on the company website at www.lunaorganics.com

Wilmington Parent will be giving away Luna Star makeup kits to 2 lucky readers! Please leave a comment below to enter this give-a-way. Make sure to include your e-mail address. Winners will be announced October 1st.

Luna Organics

My little girl is just staring to go thru that "I'm like Mommy" phase. When she sees me going thru my daily routine of getting ready she always wants me to put something on her too, like lip gloss, nail polish, deodorant or whatever it may be. These cute & smart products would be just perfect to add to what has become "our" daily routine.
