Are you looking for a safe place where your preschooler can run, jump, climb and play with other children their age? Three local gymnasiums offer open gym to preschool children. Open gym offers young children a chance to explore and play in a large area and can include:
- A rock wall
- Balance beams of various heights
- Rings
- Bars
- A variety of different sized and shaped mats
- A bouncy tumble track
- A foam pit
- Cargo net for climbing
- Mini trampolines
- Slide
- Toys and balls
- Kids music in the background
Features vary at each gym, but all have a wide variety of fun equipment.
Open gym is a great place for kids to experience new things, meet new friends and just have a great time in an unstructured environment.
Carolina Gymnastics Academy, located at 3529 Carolina Beach Road, offers open gym on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9AM-11AM.
Gymnastics Unlimited, located at 301-G North Green Meadows Drive, offers open gym every Friday afternoon from 3:30PM-4:30PM.
Port City Gymnastics, located at 6724 Amsterdam Way, offers open gym Monday through Thursday from 9AM-11:30 AM.
