Gift bags are an easy way to wrap a present, but they can be as taxing on the environment as gift wrap. However, I was recently introduced to a new concept in gift bags called The Give Bag. These reusable gift bags are made of jute, a biodegradable vegetable fiber, which makes them much more durable than the traditional bag made of paper. The largest give bag can hold up to a 20 pound item!
Two features of this bag make it so easy to re-use. The first is a pocket that contains several dry-erase cards. These cards can easily be erased and used again by the next recipient. The second feature is an enclosed dry erase pen making the bag a complete gift giving ensemble. With the Give Bag, there is no need for any additional wrapping or cards as everything is included!
The Give Bag comes in a variety of sizes and colors for all gift giving needs and retail for less than the average combined cost of a greeting card and gift packaging. A portion of the proceeds from each bag goes to WE ADVANCE, a movement to advance the health, safety and well-being of women in Haiti.
If you want to see where your bag goes, you can keep up with it using a tracking number found on the tag. Track the bag indefinitely; each person who receives it can key in the tracking number creating a network of giving and caring.
