Once on this Island
The Techmoja Dance and Theater Company of Wilmington present Once on This Island. This Caribbean adaptation of the popular fairy tale The Little Mermaid, tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. When Daniel is returned to his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred and death.
This production will be held at the Hannah Block Historic USO 120 S. Second Street, Wilmington NC 29401 on the following dates:
- August 27 @ 3pm and 8pm
- August 28 @ 3pm
- September 3 @ 3pm and 8pm
- September 4 @ 3pm

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for student and seniors.
