We all know it's better for the environment to bring your own bags when you go shopping, but did you know that it is often better for your pocketbook as well?
Many stores including Lowes Foods, Whole Foods and Target offer a 5-10 cent discount for customers that bring their own bags. This may not seem like a lot, but over the course of a year that change can add up.
If you have cloth bags but seem to always forget them at home, keep them in your car. Just remember to take that last step after putting away groceries to bring the bags back to your car.
If you keep the bags in your car, you probably want to keep them organized. One way to do this designate the biggest bag as the "bag keeper" and put all other bags inside of it.
Another great bag organizational tool is called The Tote Buddy, the world's first reusable bag organizer. The Tote Buddy is a clutch-like organizer that can hold many folded reusable bags. Not only is The Tote Buddy handy, it is also stylish and can be carried like a purse using the handles of your reusable bags.
