Sew Plain Jane

Unstructured creative play time for children seems to be getting lost in our technology-based world. Sew Plain Jane has found a way to foster imagination and make-believe play for kids with a unique line of capes, masks, wrist bands and Do-It-Yourself Cape Decorating Kits.

  • Sew Plain Jane allows kids to become their own superheroes, with capes featuring the letter, shape and color of their choosing. From lightning bolts to stars, hearts, spiders and cars, these capes are perfect for girls and boys alike. Affordable prices range from $6.00 for a plain cape to $9.00 for a cape with a shape and initial. Each cape can be accompanied by a matching mask and wrist bands to complete the transformation into a superhero. Kids don’t get to have all the fun, as Sew Plain Jane also carries capes for adults and the family dog.
  • The Sew Plain Jane Do-It-Yourself Cape Decorating Kit allows children the ultimate in creative freedom when designing a cape. Perfect for birthday or Halloween parties, Do-It-Yourself Cape Decorating Kits come with a plain cape and everything a child needs to create a cape that shows his/her distinct personality. All of the adornments for the cape are adhesive backed, making application and clean up a breeze.
  • In addition to capes, Sew Plain Jane also offers animal masks. Sew Plain Jane’s capes and masks would make fantastic stocking stuffers or gifts under the Christmas tree for the upcoming holiday season.

  • Making your own cape

This gives me a great idea for a Halloween costume. When I was growing up we always made out own costumes. That was half the fun!!
